Heartland Sings 27th Season: CELTIC LANDSCAPES
Celtic Landscapes, a magical, mystical, musical, and original Heartland Sings production, combines beautiful harmonies and the drones of bagpipes to transport audiences to the Emerald Isle in the stunning Forum at Electric Works. Enjoy a variety of vocal music selections with traditional instruments of Celtic heritage that will take you on a journey to that mystical, nostalgic place in our hearts and minds evoked by the Celtic tradition. Familiar folk tunes, ballads, and drinking songs will get audiences singing along! Take the high road and meet us for a Celtic celebration you won't forget!

Splashes of Color: A Celebration in Jazz
Jazz has been, from its very beginnings in 20th century America, a constantly evolving, expanding, changing musical style. Splashes of Color will celebrate this dynamic and energetic art form. The Vocal Artists of Heartland Sings, along with the Heartland Sings Jazz Orchestra, will perform a variety of songs culminating in the midwest premiere of Mass In Blue by composer Will Todd, a dynamic jazz setting of the Latin Mass.

America is a beautiful fabric woven together from the threads of individuals to comprise a glorious whole. An American Tapestry will feature music from a variety of cultures that call the United States home. This concert will also include a commissioned performance art piece wherein audience members and performers will be invited to come together as a mutually supportive community and weave their “thread” into a wondrous “tapestry.”

This program has been a labor of love for two years. It is comprised of composers and pieces that I adore and am thrilled that I can perform. Thank you all for attending this recital and being a part of my time here at Carnegie Mellon University.
